I Want to Move/Transfer My Music From a Different Distributor To Boost Collective. What’s The Process?

**IMPORTANT**: Make sure you TAKE DOWN the release from your other distributor within 3 days of the release date you set on Boost Collective to prevent a copyright mess and doubling up of releases.

It's easy to switch to Boost Collective. Here's how:

1. Upload your releases to Boost Collective :

NOTE: Be sure you input the exact UPC and ISRC code from your old release when uploading it to Boost Collective. That way, you won't lose any stream counts.

NOTE: If the UPC code for the release you want to move over is 12 digits long, add a zero to the front of it when inputting it in the upload form. For example, if my UPC for my old release is 123456789012 (12 digits), I will input 0123456789012 (adding a zero at the front so that it becomes 13 digits).

Note: If you are using mobile or a laptop with a smaller screen, the menus you see might be cropped.

In order to see the entire menu options, make sure to scroll horizontally, like you see here:

2. Then, go and remove your current song from streaming platforms.

Boost Collective is fast so there's a chance that your albums appear in streaming services twice, before your old distributor takes them down. This brief overlap is okay.

Make sure to use the exact same metadata (song titles, album title, ISRCs, etc.) and audio files you used with your old distributor. That way, services (especially Spotify) will try to ensure that you don't lose play counts or playlists that you're on. We can't guarantee this because it's out of our hands -- but that's generally how it works.
